Residents celebrate opening of Koreatown police station.
I was surprised when i read this article because even though I live close to Koreatown i was not informed about this news. I believe is extremely important and good they have open a new police station in this area. The testimonies of people from the area were very realistic and interesting. People who do not live in these areas are not aware of what really happens in these neighborhoods. In this article we also see how the cherifs seem friendly and we even get an example of a little girl getting a sticker from one of them. I think this is very important because kids in these areas are always in danger because of the gangs around it. We need someone to watch over the kids when they are playing outside or even just making their way to school. Koreatown is very populated and police security is a must. The people that will benefit from these if we thing about it are not only the people who live in Koreatown but also the people who work there, or pass by everyday. It is very important that security is given some importance now days especially when gangs grow bigger everyday or when going to the store across our house is even scary. We should take advantage of these new improvements in this small areas and be thankful for them. Next time you see a cop dont be so rude and give a smile.
